REVIEW – No matter how many earbuds and headphones I buy or get for review, I am always intrigued by new designs and the possibility of getting something that fits my needs better than I could imagine. Each day when I walk the mile between the railroad station and my job, I am concerned that the Apple Airpods that I am wearing will fall out of my ears and I will lose one or both. I have promised myself to buy the little gizmo that is sold to secure them around my ears but I have not yet done so. Therefore, you can understand why I was intrigued when I got the opportunity to review these JLab Audio GO Air Sport earbuds.

The JLab Audio GO Air Sport earbuds feature 8+ hours of playtime in each earbud and 24+ extra hours from the charging case that includes the integrated USB cable. Also features IP55 sweat resistance ergonomic ear hooks, a built-in MEMS microphone in each earbud, and touch sensors that control volume and track controls, plus play/pause, answer calls, and activate your smart assistant. the built-in EQ adds JLab Signature, Balanced, and Bass Boost modes without an app.

The JLab Audio GO Air Sport earbuds come in a charging case with a USB charging cable built-in. They also feature a wrap-around piece to ensure they are secure to your ear. Each earbud has touch controls on the outside and charging contacts on the inside. The case has a place on the edge to connect a strap/lanyard.

Of course, the first thing that I did was charge the case with the earbuds in them. I used one of my mighty power stations to do so. Setting up the Bluetooth was quick and easy and just like any other earbuds. These earbuds fit around my ears very comfortably and are very secure for wearing while doing any activity. Phone calls: Phone calls are clear for both parties and I did not encounter any disconnects.

Music: These headphones are for convenience and not in the audiophile category. However, once you select the correct gel tip so that they fit your ears correctly, they sound decent and are easy on your ears. I listened, to some Flamenco Guitar, Contemporary Jazz, Gospel, and R&B, and they all sounded good enough for basic daily listening. They work great when working out, cycling, or just relaxing.

Overall, based on the comfort level when wearing them, the nice charge lifespan, and the all-around decent performance, I decided to take them to work with me so that I have secure earbuds when walking back and forth to the railroad. They do not sound anywhere near my Apple Airpods, but they are definitely good enough for any non-critical listening.

The JLab Audio GO Air Sport earbuds fit well and are very reliable. They do not provide audiophile quality sound, but I do not believe that was the design intention. They are nice to listen to and the long battery life makes them a good choice. For the price, they are a good value/cost ratio.
