The Music Edition 2 Bluetooth speaker is made from high-quality metal and has a retro metal grille ... [+] that sets it apart from other speakers. The wireless charging mat on the top of the speaker can keep a smartphone topped up with power.

Let’s face it; most Bluetooth speakers look so similar these days. They’ve almost become a commodity and it’s even hard to tell some brands apart, mainly due to their drab black plastic appearance and boring tubular design. Now the classic audio brand Victrola has branched out from making record players to announce the launch of the Music Edition series of chic, portable Bluetooth speakers that the company says offer a premium sound and high-quality metal construction.

The compact and beautiful Victrola Music Edition 1 is a portable Bluetooth speaker and has an IP67 ... [+] water and rustproof rating so it can go anywhere.

Victrola’s Music Edition 1 is a handheld Bluetooth speaker, while the Music Edition 2 is larger and designed for tabletop use. Both models have been designed to look as good as they sound and are available in black and silver finishes. Durable anodized aluminum grilles have a sleek and sturdy appearance with just a hint of retro. Both models can survive the harshest outdoor conditions thanks to their IP67 waterproof rating, plus they can be used as a stereo pair for a wider soundstage.

The Music Edition 2 is a larger and more powerful speaker than the Music Edition 1. It’s an ideal speaker for small parties and outdoor gatherings. With a 3.5-inch driver, 1-inch tweeter, plus a passive bass radiator, the Music Edition 2 has enough power to fill medium size areas. Users can also use the speaker’s built-in wireless charging pad to keep their smartphones charged. A full charge of the built-in battery results in up to 20 hours of continuous playtime. There’s also an auxiliary input for connecting analog sources.

Pricing & Availability: The Victrola Music Edition 1 costs $99.99 while the Music Edition 2 sells for $199.99. Both are available from www.victrola.com, Amazon or Best Buy. The speakers can be ordered in black and silver finishes with additional colors due for release in 2023.
