As much as I want to be, I’m just not an earbuds person. I don’t know if it’s the shape of my ears or what, but they just aren’t comfortable, and they never stay in.

So you can imagine my delight when I read earlier this year that wired headphones are making a comeback. Gen Z and all the cool kids are wearing them again, and so should you!

If you tossed all your wired headphones after you purchased AirPods, here’s some good news: Apple’s best-selling EarPods Headphones are currently on sale for nearly 40% off on Amazon ahead of the Prime Early Access sale next week. For a limited time only, these popular cult headphones are just $17.69!

Apple EarPods Headphones with Lightning Connector, $17.68 (Orig. $29)

If you’ve ever had an iPhone or an iPod, then you’re probably familiar with the classic Apple EarPods Headphones. They fit comfortably inside most ears and stay put even when you’re on the move. According to the product description, the Apple EarPods Headphones are designed to accommodate the true “geometry of the ear, which makes them more comfortable for more people.”

When it comes to sound quality, Apple explains that the EarPods have been “engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss.” The result? You can hear your music or podcast clearly, even in crowded settings.

Unsurprisingly, shoppers on Amazon have many positive things to say about the Apple EarPods Headphones. They have 4.6 out of 5 stars and more than 176,000 ratings.

“Good sound,” one Amazon shopper titled their review. “No charging required! Quality sound. I use these for phone, music and streaming tv and like the clear quality sound.”

Another shopper commented, “I bought these so I could go on walks while listening to music and this makes me solely focus on walking and not worry about everyone else. I recommend. The sound quality is extremely good and loud.”

Before you purchase these Apple EarPods Headphones, it’s important to note that they have the lightning connector, which means they can only be plugged directly into more recent models of the iPhone. If you prefer headphones that can be used more universally, consider the Apple EarPods Headphones with 3.5mm Plug, which are also only $17 on Amazon right now. Just remember, you’ll need the Apple Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter to use those headphones with iPhones that have the lightning jack. Luckily, the adapter is also on sale for just $7.99 (down from $9) right now.

BERLIN (Reuters) -Germany on Monday said it plans to urgently implement a 96 billion euro ($93 billion) plan to ease pressure on consumers from surging gas prices as it was warned that the supply situation heading into winter remained tense even with full reserves. "The supply situation remains tense despite the filled storage facilities," Michael Vassiliadis, head of trade union IG BCE and one of the commission experts, told a news briefing, adding that the panel hoped their plan would curb inflation. If adopted, the plan would be paid for by a 200 billion euro relief package Chancellor Olaf Scholz's government announced last month to reduce the impact of energy prices on Europe's largest economy, which experts have estimated needs to cut consumption by a fifth to get through winter and beyond without rationing.

(Reuters) -Tesla Inc delivered 83,135 China-made electric vehicles (EVs) in September, smashing its monthly record, according to a report released on Sunday by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). The number marks an 8% increase from August and set a record for Tesla’s Shanghai factory since production began in December 2019, topping the prior deliveries high of 78,906 in June, as the U.S. car maker continues to invest in production in China. "The record high sales of China-made Tesla cars showed electric vehicles have been leading the mobility trend," Tesla said in a brief statement.

BEIJING (AP) — Chinese cities were imposing fresh lockdowns and travel restrictions after the number of new daily COVID-19 cases tripled during a weeklong holiday, ahead of a major Communist Party meeting in Beijing next week. The latest lockdown started Monday in Fenyang city in northern China's Shanxi province after a preliminary positive case was found in citywide testing the previous day, state broadcaster CCTV reported. In the nearby Inner Mongolia region, the capital Hohhot announced that

The London Stock Exchange has become the first major bourse to set listing rules for companies that finance carbon reduction projects, as part of efforts to grow the market and make it more transparent, its chief executive told Reuters. Demand for carbon offsets, generated through projects such as tree planting or renewable energy, is expected to soar as companies seek to meet net-zero emissions goals. As a focus for policymakers, it is likely to be debated at climate talks in Egypt in November, yet the global market for voluntary carbon credits, as opposed to binding commitments to cut emissions by companies and countries, remains largely unregulated.

The websites for some major U.S. airports went down early Monday in an apparent coordinated denial-of-service attack, although officials said flights were not affected. The attacks followed a call by a shadowy group of pro-Russian hackers that calls itself Killnet for coordinated denial-of-service attacks on the targets. The group published a target list on its Telegram channel. “We noticed this morning that the external website was down, and our IT and security people are in the process of inve

A trio of U.S. economists including former Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke won this year's Nobel Economics Prize on Monday for laying the foundation of how world powers now tackle global crises like the recent pandemic or the Great Recession of 2008. The trio, who also include Douglas Diamond and Philip Dybvig, won for their research on how regulating banks and propping up failing lenders with public cash can stave off an even deeper economic crisis, such as the Great Depression of the 1930s. "The actions taken by central banks and financial regulators around the world in confronting two recent major crises – the Great Recession and the economic downturn that was generated by the COVID-19 pandemic – were in large part motivated by the laureates’ research," the Swedish Academy said in announcing this year's prize winners.

The MSCI global index of stocks lost ground on Monday while the dollar gained slightly as investors waited for economic data and earnings season and after Russian missiles pounded cities across Ukraine. Any lingering hopes that the Federal Reserve could shift to a softer stance toward monetary policy appeared to be extinguished on Friday as the September jobs report pointed to a persistently tight labour market. The dollar held steady against a basket of currencies, while a number of market-based measures of investor risk nervousness showed another increase.

Amazon.com Inc said on Monday it will invest more than 1 billion euros ($974.8 million) over the next five years in electric vans, trucks and low-emission package hubs across Europe, accelerating its drive to achieve net-zero carbon. The retailer said the investment was also aimed at spurring innovation across the transportation industry and encouraging more public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs). The U.S. online retailer said the investment would help its electric van fleet in Europe more than triple from 3,000 vehicles to more than 10,000 by 2025.
