Walmart said it will offer curbside returns this holiday season. Walmart+ customers in select areas can take advantage of at-home returns picked up by delivery personnel.

Walmart says that for holiday shopping this year, it has added 1,400 new toys to its assortment. And, shoppers will find 500 of those toys only at Walmart.

Walmart also has announced a “holiday guarantee.” If shoppers want to return something, the return window has been expanded and will start on Oct. 1 and end on Jan. 31, 2023.

Shoppers won’t actually have to go into busy stores to return items.

Walmart will offer curbside and home returns. Shoppers can make returns from their vehicles at stores.

Walmart+ members at select stores have the option of having returns picked up at their doorstep. The return can be scheduled. Boxes and labels are not needed.

The curbside and from-home return options kick in early in October and will expand in the coming months, Walmart said.

As for gift shopping - Walmart said it is increasing its inventory of “highly sought after electronics like TVs, tablets, wireless headphones, wireless phones and watches, as well as home goods including appliances, robotic vacuums, furniture and décor.”

In the toy category, shoppers will find an expanded collection of ride-ons and collectibles from brands including Star Wars, Barbie and Transformers. The retailer’s Top Toys List features 55 toys from Lego, CoComelon, Jurassic World, Paw Patrol, L.O.L. Surprise and Magic Mixies.

Walmart said more than half of those toys cost under $50.
