We now have our first tease of upcoming feature The Super Mario Bros. Movie from Nintendo and Illumination.
The bulk of it sees big bad Bowser – voiced by Jack Black – strutting his not insignificant stuff, while Mario discovers the Mushroom Kingdom, and a rather over-eager Toad.
It’s billed as a teaser trailer and that’s exactly what we get, but it’s enough to indicate the vibe of the much-anticipated movie, and allows us to hear Chris Pratt giving voice to Mario.
Other voice cast members include Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is slated for a March 30, 2023 Australian cinema release.
