Truly waterproof luggage, this has welded seams, waterproof zips and is IPX7 rated (submersible 1m deep for 30 minutes) so you can literally take it for a swim or tie it to your canoe. Carry like a duffel or wear like a rucksack: the removable top handle doubles as a padded harness.

This new compact soundbar and wireless subwoofer, from the company that pioneered virtual surround-sound soundbars, could be the one to beat. It offers clear dialogue and sound projection, with Dolby Digital and Virtual Surround. All despite its 60cm width and 6.4cm height, small enough to sit under any screen.

An affordable way to look like Daft Punk while enjoying a relaxing massage. Think of it as a high-tech hot towel over the eyes. Modes include heat, compression, vibration and music. Bluetooth speakers are built in. It’s cordless, portable, you can even get on with everyday tasks while it massages your temples, thanks to its ‘vision window’.

Connoisseurs listen to music on tape: this kind of tape. A stunning reel-to-reel music player pitched at analogue audiophiles as well as recording engineers. Great if money’s no object, it costs nearly as much as a Tesla. And the stand costs nearly £10,000 extra. There’s a pricier model too.

A custom-fit, 3D-printed carbon frame e-bike that’s crazy light and crazy strong. That’s because of its seamless strength: it’s 3D-printed in a single pass of continuous carbon-fibre thermoplastic composite, not sections glued and bolted together. It’s custom-printed for each rider’s measurements: no two are the same.

This new, flagship, four-door fridge-freezer features Hitachi’s new vacuum compartment technology, which extracts most of the air from a sealed food drawer. The partial vacuum reduces oxidation, significantly extending the life of fresh food. It helps retain moisture and nutrients too – so you get less waste and more flavour.
