Samsung phones make it easy to share music with a friend through a second pair of headphones. Here's how to set up and use the Dual Audio feature.

Sometimes, you may want to share music with a friend, but it never feels right to share the same pair of headphones. You may also own two Bluetooth speakers and want to play music from both for a richer listening experience.

Samsung’s Dual Audio feature makes these two scenarios possible. Let's take a look at how this feature works and how to set it up on your Samsung Galaxy device.

Dual Audio is a Bluetooth feature on Samsung phones and tablets that lets you play media audio on two different devices concurrently. The devices could be either two independent Bluetooth speakers or two pairs of earphones.

To make it work, you’ll have to pair your Samsung device to each of your Bluetooth devices first. Go to Settings > Connection > Bluetooth to locate and pair your devices. Once you have your two speakers or headphones paired you can move on to the next step of activating Dual Audio.

Make sure you’re connected to at least one of the two paired devices first and then follow these steps:

Due to latency differences on different Bluetooth devices, you might notice one of your speakers lagging slightly behind the other.

It would be best if you used Dual Audio on identical speaker models but even if you used different models, the lag won't be too distracting as far as your listening experience is concerned. In case you're sharing media with a friend on two pairs of headphones, the lag wouldn't be noticeable.

If you're using a Samsung Galaxy device newer than the S7 and Tab S3 series with Bluetooth 5.0 or higher, you can enjoy the Dual Audio feature without hassle. Aside from the latency issue, you shouldn't come across any other challenge when sharing audio on two Bluetooth devices.
