This is the lowest price we've seen for the 2022 LG Evo C2 65" OLED TV. The LG C2 is currently one of the best TVs on the market. Unlike other brands who have only recently started pushing out OLED TVs, LG has several generations of improvements over the years. The C2 is the newest model and, unlike the previous generation C1, features an "Evo" OLED panel that offers higher peak brightness (the one area that OLED TVs in general could improve upon) and thus even wider HDR range.
The Evo C2 is also a perfect gaming TV. It has four HDMI 2.1 ports and a native 120Hz panel that supports true 4K @ 120Hz passthrough when paired with a PS5, Xbox Series X, or RTX 30 series equipped PC. There's also variable refresh rate (VRR), which is this TV's version of adaptive sync technology, as well as auto low latency mode (ALLM), where the TV automatically switches to a lower latency when it detects gameplay. The LG C2 also supports HGiG, which is automatically calibrated tone mapping specific to your TV model.
For those of you who want to recreate retro arcade gaming at home but don't have the time, expertise, or money to set up your own MAME cabinet, Arcade1Up cabinets offer an easy to assemble, slick looking package at a reasonable price. The RTX 3080 has finally hit its original launch MSRP of $699.99 on Amazon. The RTX 3080 really doesn't need any introduction. This is the de facto card to get if you plan to run current generation games at 4K, since it's up to 50% faster than the previous generation RTX 2080 SUPER and doesn't command the exorbitant price of the RTX 3080 Ti or RTX 3090. It has an HDMI 2.1 port so like the PS5 and Xbox Series X it is capable to 4K @ 120Hz on compatible monitors and TVs.
Less Expensive Than Original MSRP
The LEGO Ideas Treehouse is an excellent 3,000-piece building set that was unfortunately made even more inaccessible with its $50 official price hike (from $200 to $250) earlier this year. Fortunately, today you have a chance of getting it for less than even the original MSRP. Amazon currently has it for $175. With a massive 3,036 brick count, you're paying less than 6 cents per brick. The treehouse measures an impressive 14" x 10" x 9" and includes both green and yellow foliage for seasonal variation.
Transforms from robot to truck
The coveted LEGO Transformers Optimus Prime is 20% off right now exclusively at the LEGO Shop. Right now it's available for $143.99 (normally $180). The total brick count is 1,508 pieces, which averages to 10 cents per brick. That's a solid deal, especially if you factor in the sheer awesomeness of this set. Optimus Prime measures a respectable 14" high, 11" deep, and 8" wide. Of course, the best feature of all is the ability to transform from robot to truck. It features 19 points of articulation and includes accessories like the ion blaster, Autobot Matrix of Leadership, Energon axe, Energon cube and jetpack.
You know the holiday season is near when the new LEGO Advent Calendars come out to play. The 2022 LEGO Advent Calendars went up for sale in late September, and today Walmart is taking an extra 20% off the new 2022 Star Wars, Marvel (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Harry Potter editions. Each set comes with 24 minifigures, one for each day leading up to Christmas. That way you'll have fun assembling a little kit each and every day instead of waiting it out for a singular moment.
Acer (direct) has the Acer Nitro 5 15" gaming laptop, equipped with the newest 12th generation Intel Alder Lake Intel Core i7 processor and an RTX 3070 Ti GPU for only $1499.99, a savings of $300. The new Intel Alder Lake processor is signficantly faster than any Intel Core i7 CPU before it. It's also much faster than the new AMD Ryen 7 6000 series processors. The GPU has a respectable TGP rating of 150W. Higher TDP means more power is supplied to the graphics card, and that directly equates to better performance in games.
The newest Apple TV is still discounted to the price we saw during the Amazon Early Black Friday Sale. It features an A12 Bionic processor that boosts graphics performance, video decoding, and audio processing over the previuos model and delivers high frame rate HDR with Dolby Vision. The new Apple remote is also a significant upgrade over its predecessors with its inclusion of a 5-way clickpad, mute button, and dedicated power button that works for your TV, receiver, and Apple TV.
The Reverb G2 normally sells for $599, but the HP Store has it for $250 off. That makes it cheaper than the Meta Quest 2 but with some significant upgrades under the hood. The Reverb G2 sports the second highest resolution of any VR headset with 2160x2160 pixels per eye (even more than the already impressive Quest 2's 1832×1920 resolution), manual IPD adjustment, a far more robust headstrap than the Quest 2, inside-out tracking that doesn't require external sensors, and off-ear headphones so they don't get as grimy and maintains your peripheral hearing.
Like the PS5, the Xbox Series X benefits from additional storage space that matches the speed of the internal SSD. Unlike the PS5, you can't just install any generic SSD, even the ones that are fast enough. You'll specifically need the Seagate storage expansion card. A 1TB drive normally costs $219.99, but today Amazon has it for $199.99.
The Razer Viper Ultimate mouse is all about weight, or the lack therof. It'd designed for gamers who want the lightest wireless gaming mouse possible. Wireless mouse are typically much heavier than their wired counterparts because they are laden with rechargeable batteries. The Viper Ultimate bucks the trend by weighin in at a mere 74 grams. That's lighter than almost every other wireless mouse on the market. It's also only 5 grams heavier than the wired model and that's with its battery pack installed.
The Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers have been around for over two decades, and even today it's still considered one of the best 2.1ch dedicated computer speakers you can get. The new model with wireless Bluetooth streaming has a few changes on the spec sheet in order to keep the price down, since the MSRP has dropped from $140 to $100, but for the most part it remains very familiar.
